Humor but much truth also. There's at least one other type also. He has tons of expensive guns, all the high-speed low-drag gear, expensive shooting glasses, a tactical-looking attire....and often can't hit the broad side of a barn. We ran across one of those in 1980 at Garrisonville, VA near Camp Barrett MCB Quantico. It was a country range like most; totally unapproved and down a dead-end road that only the locals knew about. The USMC Basic School and FBI Academy are minutes away so it had quite the following. This guy rolls up with a leather shooting jacket, $300 Ray Bans, all these exotic rifles with bull barrels and similar. We tended to our business but I guess he felt ignored because he walked over and announces "First of all, I'm Federal Enforcement". We all stifled our laughter but waited for the show. He wanted to fire a Dan Wesson .357 we had so we let him embarrass himself. He blamed it on the sights and similar alibis. Then we handed it to my wife, a small 5 ft 4 in. 120 lbs and after assuming a Weaver stance she's blowing the hell out of a gallon paint can about 35 meters out, really making it dance. He quietly gathered his toys up and left in silence. It takes all kinds I guess. Nice share and best wishes.

The Range Idiot Song (Don't Shoot)
This is a song about idiots at the range. Avoid these guys, stay safe, and practice often!

SPC(P) (Join to see) That is hilarious... if you can get past the sad truth it holds.

SSG Robert Webster I suspect that you would not act like any of these stereotypes on the range. As I have never seen a M1903, I would be interested to see it fired.
