USAF had a Valkrie bomber back in the ‘50’s or ‘60’s...

Built (IIRC) two prototypes... one crashed & burned and the other went away.

Sgt Wood, correct, it was the 1950s and here is a picture of the XB70, Valkyrie, which was capable of Mach 3 speed at 70,000 Feet and had 6 engines. The never became operational especially as You mentioned after the crash of one of the two prototype. The X before the B in the aircraft designation was for Experimental as it never went beyond that stage in production.

We still have pilots for remotely piloted drones. And I am not sure about this, don't pilots already have enough to manage up there?
