The Army knows its op-tempo is ‘unsustainable’ but can’t seem to fix it

This article should have been had the byline "CPT Obvious" -- of course the Army can't fix its unsustainable optempo. Having an unsustainable optempo is one of the primary goals of the National Defense Budget. After all, if any of the services were actually funded to meet all their assigned and implied missions there would be room for more cuts (oops, we're supposed to call them "savings").
