President Obama succeeded. He wanted to fundamentally change America and it is changed. Look at the current brouhaha over confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh. Justices Scalia, Sotamayor, and Kagan were all confirmed with bipartisan votes. Justice Scalia was confirmed 98-0! Yes, it's changed all right, just not for the better...

SGT Jim Arnold - Maybe, maybe not, we will have to wait for the results. But I have a feeling that they will contest the results of the election unless they win, which will cause the problems to continue.

Stolen? I suggest you obtain a copy of Senate Procedure. Roberts Rules of Orders will do. Tabling an issue is proper. Better yet, ask Harry Reid. He's a master at manipulating the rules of order. He was able to get The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) enacted without a vote. Now that's some shenanigans!
