I pray that the LORD blesses each of you with discernment as you are faced with decisions especially when there does not seem to be a good choice available. I expect that you have learned the mutual benefits of investing time, talents, resources, and energy in many noble and worthwhile activities. In all likelihood, you are very effective in leading those who depend on you to develop approaches to complex issues. I expect those who look to you for leadership, advice and friendship appreciate your teamwork, discernment and decisive approach to make decisions. I expect you are passionate about the health, welfare and safety of those closest to you in proximity as well as relationship. 'As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. I pray for sufficient energy, endurance and willingness to serve as called to do so, ears to hear what the LORD is telling us for each adopted son and daughter of God who reads this prayer or hears this prayer. I pray for sufficient fruit of the Spirit goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control for each of us LORD. No doubt your enthusiasm and emotional energy seems to be boundless even while your physical waxes and wanes based on nourishment, like mine. I thank YOU LORD for renewing the mind of each of us by the washing of YOUR Word. 'Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.’ [3 John 1:2 ESV]
I pray for discernment, endurance, sufficient energy to meet each objective, and peace in the midst of the storm for each deployed service member, police and agents on duty, emergency room personnel, fire and rescue and EMT and a secure night. I pray that none will die without the eternal security of personal relationship with you. I pray for a peaceful and secure night for the homeless, the despondent, the disabled veterans suffering from PTSD/TBI, neuralgias, phantom pain from amputated limbs, clinically depressed, and the manic along with their family members. I pray that YOU bless each with a peaceful night and enable them to sleep throughout the night along with those who love and care for them. 'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.’ [2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV]
I lift the individuals whose nerves and nervous system are damaged to the point they can no longer feel any sensation in their limbs to YOU LORD – including advanced diabetics and other neuralgias. YOU designed us with a significant capability to heal. By YOUR grace, YOU heal the vast majority of us through our own lymphatic system and supporting systems. I pray that YOU give each one of these individuals and those who love and care for them with eyes to see and ears to hear YOU to help protect them from infection and loss of limbs. ‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.’ [Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV]
By God’s grace, HE stores the Word of God into our soul and brings up HIS Word with understanding for us whenever it is necessary. ‘For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. [Hebrews 4:12]
