Good morning Col Burroughs. Sometimes people mistake barriers for boundaries (a previous topic). Barriers are not helpful; they keep people out and blockcade us in. We erect them for protection but they end up being stifling and they let in neither fresh air nor new ideas. However, many can be breached pretty easily. Can you overcome yours or someone else's this week?

I pray that you pay attention to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and quickly respond in agreement with HIS guidance. The Holy Spirit prompts us to confess for sins of commission when we are new to the faith and more often sins of omission as we mature 'If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. I pray LORD that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer understands and heeds the admonition of the LORD 'Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.'' [James 5:14-16 ESV]
I lift the elected leaders, legislators, appointed officials, and judges throughout the USA, as well as Australia, Canada, Mexico, India, Europe, Africa, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Central and South America to YOU LORD. I pray that they each respect each one of their constituents independent of birth characteristics, family, societal characteristics, education level, profession, skill, or disabilities within their jurisdiction.
I pray that reasonable people recognize that COVID-19 is simply a flu-like disease for which there is no vaccine yet. Once the vaccines are deemed safe and effective, I pray they will be closer to tetanus [every 10 years] than the annual flu shot recommended dosage.
I pray that parents of school-age children will be blessed with wisdom, knowledge, and discernment about the risk of COVID-19 in their particular school district. I pray that the majority of school districts will have minimal risk of COVID-19 and that they will safely be able to take it the students this fall.
I pray that the border wall network will be completed this year and that international relations between the USA, Mexico and Canada will significantly improve since robust borders make good neighbors.
I pray that Communist China will voluntarily or be forced by international relations leverage to accept India’s sovereignty in the disputed oil-rich lands. I pray that Communist China shall relent from their hegemony over Hong Kong.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Saturday night and shall awake healthy on Sunday morning.

Good Morning Mikel. This brought to mind a sermon I heard at a small country church in rural Tennessee when we were stationed at NAS Memphis in Millington, TN. The evangelist was preaching about the barriers between us and Jesus. Most of these barriers are self induced. It was a powerful message and I have remembered it for over 46 years.
