I hope that you realize that peace/tranquility is a state of being independent of circumstances. Certainly, at times it is good to get away from what irritates you. Even out LORD went to the hills early in the morning to pray. However, as a grain of sand in an oyster creates irritation which results in a pearl, oftentimes the LORD permits or ordains challenging circumstances to purify our character and reveal strengths to ourselves and those we love which we were not aware of; my brother-in-Christ PVT Mark Zehner.
Lord I lift up those of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are plagued with nightmares [day & night], the addicted, the compulsive, the distraught, the suicidal and homicidal to YOU. I pray that YOU pour out a large measure of love and hope to each one. Enable each one to sleep peacefully tonight to be able to face what lies ahead for them tomorrow. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid' [John 14:27]
I pray for wisdom and discernment for each one who reads this prayer to recognize that YOU are in control of all that happens to each one of us individually and corporately. Empower us to accept the challenges and tests that YOU have ordained for each one us.
