1. Each and every one of us is an original creation by the LORD. HE planned our birth, life and death before time began. As Jeremiah states, Jeremiah 29:11-13 'ESV 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'
2. By God's grace, each one of us is unique and precious to the LORD.
3. As parents, we are role models for our children. God designed each of us to learn in unique ways. The LORD reminds us 'Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.’ [Proverbs 22.6 ESV] It is wise to seek guidance from the LORD to raise and train up our children. This also applies to spiritual children and those who educate and admonish them.
4. Every human being shares much in common with many and yet we are unique in our experiences; hopes, dreams, and fears; rewards and punishments; and growth in maturity.
5. I have long focused on what is unique to me [or so I thought] embodied in Duty, Honor, Country from my Alma Mater, USMA, West Point.

I expect you are aware that your hopes, dreams, fears, plans, loves and likes are unique to you. No doubt you are wise enough to recognize that each person is unique, and you understand that a genuine leaders focus is on serving those they lead, are led by and work with. Hopefully you are mature enough to appreciate that others have different preferences in terms of food, music, humor and opinion. I'm an original, and one of a kind. That doesn't always lend itself well to leadership, but I've made it work in ancillary ways. I don't have direct control or management over any particular area, but I make my impact on new employees and advancing employees. Picking those that I think show potential skills that I can pass on my knowledge to and watching them grow with that knowledge is worth all of my efforts.
All leaders work toward the goal of advancing the company, and you can't grow or have continuity if the leaders who have done the hard work can't share their experiences to the next generation.
