Wow! Re-cycling at it’s best. That concrete held up well considering the vagaries of English weather along that coastline. Sgt Wayne Wood

You should see the ‘tabby’ structures in GA & SC sea islands... some are centuries old.

Sgt Wayne Wood That reminds me of a ‘fishing pier’ South of Los Angeles.
Extending out from the beach, there was a ‘doughnut’ at the end so you could fish inside the doughnut or outside.
The last time I saw it, the re-bar was rusting thru the concrete and causing the structure to fail.
I don’t know where is is/was, but have never found that pier again.
I understand properly mixed concrete s/b able to withstand Sea Water if the re-bar is 3” under the surface of the concrete?
