Looks like it was Launched from Kadena Air base, Okinawa Japan...

wow, thank you, I was able to see it fly in it's last year. My first deployment 1989-1990, I was on Main Body Deployment site Camp Shields near Kadena Air Force base, and you could here it taking off, and coming back. When it took off in dark you see it flaming, and when she came back, had to pass over three times to slow down, and landed with three large parachutes. This thing was awesome. The other thing you knew when it was going to take off as a KC 135 Startotanker would take off about 45 min, before the black bird would fly. When ever we would load and unload gear for Dets on C130's or 141's you would see it sometimes....
