SFC Jim Ruether - I was just wondering Jim after I posted this would there be any bf-109 that far north going into Ireland? I thought the range of the 109 was very limited. Maybe some others can shed some light if you don't know.

LTC (Join to see) - i think they were a short range fighter. Many stories abound among bomber crews about probable kills against our bombers when suddenly they broke for home and let us go without a shot. Check out this museum just 13 miles from where I live. If you get up this way you need to stop there. Check it out; http://www.fagenfighterswwiimuseum.org/

SFC Jim Ruether - BN or ME-109's were able to fly 400mph at 6,000ft altitude for 90 minutes. It was intended as a short range interceptor

A T-34C would eat it for lunch... I’d like to see this replica with a beefier power plant and fully aerobatic!
