I was also one of those guys with a gasoline-powered muscle car -- customized 2003 Ferrari F1 Modena. Spent lots of dollars fixing it up and taking it to car shows -- a hole in the garage where I threw my money into,,,

Its a hobby !

Yours was paid for. I don't know if the Lamborghini and the Corvette are paid off or if they still have a lien holder.

My wife's Lexus recently passed the 100,000 mileage mark and I replaced the battery in it last week for a little under $250... Glad it isn't an Electric Vehicle! Unlike a standard car battery, an electric vehicle battery is not cheap. They’re good for 100,000 miles but come with a hefty price tag of $10,000 to $20,000. Insurance rates are also high because of the battery cost and the susceptibility they have to even minor collisions. These are just two of many hidden costs that people don't even consider when purchasing an EV. Lots of Eco Friendly BS out there also. What do they think fuels the power plants that provide electricity to charge the batteries? The US gets about a third of its electricity from coal-fired power! Also, the process of extracting lithium for batteries consumes significant amounts of water and energy, and lithium mining can pollute the air and water with chemicals and heavy metals. In addition, mining lithium can disrupt wildlife habitats and cause soil erosion, leading to long-term ecological damage. I like the idea of owning an electric vehicle. However, I have not drank the Kool-Aid...

Terrible decision by the administration. Makes vehicles unaffordable and very impractical for long distance
