This is a fascinating story, one that should be interesting to all who fight the wars. However, this article omits one of the truly fascinating parts of the tale. The breaking of the Enigma Code wasn't celebrated publicly following the war. It remained a deep secret. Thus, the Brits and Americans who shared the secret, gave Enigma machines captured from the Nazis to their allies to use for their own diplomatic and strategic communications, but without telling them that their communications could then be deciphered.

That is great story. One that needs to be told. I was familiar with the basics, but hod no actual idea of the depth and the groundwork that was laid. Thanks for posting this, this should be film project.
