I'm watching an excellent documentary which has soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen from both Argentina and England discuss how things were during the Falklands War from the initial Invasion by the argentines all the way to surrender of the Falklands back to the rightful British government.

Stephen I did a good bit of stuff in Argentina prior to the war on terror, I was in Argentina on 9/11/01 After that I did not go back to SOUTHCOM you might say I was refocused haha
I remember we did not refer to the islands or conflict as the Falklands/Falklands War, we referred to them as the Malvinas. I just tried not to even bring it up, I had other business to take care of.

haha I am glad it never came up in conversation. I did a little training with some SAS boys when I was BC. They were awesome, one night when nothing was going on I had a little down time with them at my place. I bought plenty of beer and we just sat around drank beer and told stories, great time. I realized after working with them and talking to them they are just like us just a little different accent haha
