The genetic mistakes that could shape our species

So, now we know about how Trump, W, Ronnie, Cruz and the GOP occurred.

I'm not confident this statement is correct. However, the Bible reads of a time before Noah's flood the Human DNA was altered. A time when murder and hate ruled the world.
If we alter genes within our DNA, will we still be human or something else?
