Thanks Sgt (Join to see),I wish it could have been longer. We wereTDY with the Marines at Danang for a couple of weeks. We took them out and brought them back. I learned a great respect for them. You know, over there we were all brothers.

SGT (Join to see) - Keith, being a door Gunner was a dangerous job. We are both blessed to have made it this long when so many of our brothers have passed on.

Keith, thank my Navy community shares a special relationship with them as we fall under there organizational chart and do all kind of military operations of all sorts with them and that is why we are part of MAGTAF-Special. Love Marines have been in combat with them and worked all over with them. We have a Marine training group that trains us in infantry tactics and field operations. Every battalion has a gunny cadre that helps in mission planning for every special detachment or deployment they go on. We have a special bond with the Marine Corps.

Thanks Chief. Tonight was about the Marines and Navy. Tomorrow night is the Army and Air Force. I know you guys have a special bond, and that is awesome.

Thanks for sharing SGT (Join to see) the history of the US Marines Corps - cliff notes version from military.com
You couldn't fit the depth and breadth of this history and roles of the USMC into one post. But as a historian I appreciate what you shared.
