Poor Bastard Children, Bred like Cattle, Products of some of the Most Evil People to have ever walked the earth. They have carved out a special niche though explaining the Evil of the SS and this Program.

I don't understand how these folks can be so calm while talking about this. I know it would complete mess up my whole world if I found out I was a part of a program like this. Shows the resiliency that exists within the human soul.

Remember also that Germany was ten steps below dirt poor. "Dirt poor" would have been bragging rights. So Hitler promising to not only put a chicken in every pot but provide heat to cook it, was beyond legendary. He was a rock star. And his "posse" were the guys immaculately dressed in black. An SS trooper (even the lowliest private) had priviledge and status. You wanted for nothing if your daughter came home with a death's head wearing soldier. If you were a girl, you lost your virginity, you wrote him letters, you accompanied him everywhere. It was a rock star mentality.

The proud father would immediately march the two to a studio to capture the moment on film. "Look - my daughters dating a handsome Waffen SS trooper!" That picture hung proudly everywhere. "I have no money but my car needs gas. I'm driving to the train station to pick up my daughter's SS boyfriend coming home on leave." "Oh! SS! Why didn't you say so! Here - have all the gas you want!" And while Hitler did put a ton of German to work, not everyone found a job. So sitting at home and breeding for the SS was like being a hollywood whore. You were a "whore" at the end of the day but you got a medal from Hitler, right? So how BAD could it be?
