The loaded legacy of the UT Tower shooting

I found out about this after I returned home in 1967. Charles Whitman, in a note, told the authorities he should have his brain examined. His brain was autopsied and he had a tumor on his brain. I think this shooting is mentioned in "Full Metal Jacket" with the DI praising Whitmans accuracy.
