I recall part of some saying that had a line in it something like this. Words once spoken can never be taken back.

Found it.
Some words once spoken
can't be taken back.
Nor the pain that they cause
with their hurtful attack.
To withdraw them is futile,
for the damage is done,
and the words to say "sorry"
enough of, there are none.
So powerful the words
when accompanied by hate,
that attempts to retract them,
come already too late.
Some words, once heard
don't just ring in our ears.
They last in our memories,
and bring life to our fears.
So when emotions are rising,
Hold your tongue fast,
and think before speaking..
Do I wish these words to last?

Wonderful! I am going to google this and see if I can find it on a small poster or frame I can hang on the wall either at home or my office (or both). Thank you PO2 Saffell! I like the Christan Poem "Footprints" which has a very Christian meaning, that often when you think you are alone in your struggles and you can only see one pair of footprints in the sand, that was the time Jesus was carrying you.
