Gender integration has not and will not make the force more lethal, combat ready or combat effective. We all know it but it is being pushed by the culture not by need.

That should not be construed to mean that women do not serve honorably and well in many areas of the armed forces.

Integrating basic training in the Marines will diminish it, not enhance it. Training will have to be modified so women can graduate through it at a similar rate as men. That means the training will need to be watered down. That will not make for a more lethal force, period.

Couldn’t read the article because I won’t pay to read a paper so biased. However, the die has been cast. Eventually, there will be all genders in any field regardless of the consequences.

The only battle going is the battle of enforced civilian preference for politically correct compromises. There is no challenge within the USMC. Not when I was in (84-96), not when my Mom was in (42-45) and not now. The Marine Corps has changed in leaps and bounds over my lifetime and it will continue to adapt, improvise and overcome - even these holier than thou reporters who don't like how the Marine Corps does things - with NO understanding of WHY things are done.
