Vox and their flaccid writer suffer from toxic stupidity. It is evident it is toxic at Vox, just look at all the garbage they put out. It is easy to talk about toxic masculinity when you have lived in a freedom and liberty bubble provided by the very men you choose to harangue. Without this masculinity Belleau Wood might not have held against the Germans, Guadalcanal might have fallen to the Japanese, Okinawa may have never been taken, South Korea might have fallen to the NK and Chinese. I could go on.
Women cannot seem to hang so we must blame the men for it, somehow, someway they are responsible. The Marine Corps has a war record without women in the ranks that I would put up against anyone. If you want to be an equal you will have to do better than name calling, whining and crying anytime something doesn't go your way.
As Churchill (another toxic male) said, "When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber". They certainly jabber these days.

Bravo SFC... you get a SJW cookie.
No one has said anything to the contrary about the service of women. To say, especially on Memorial Day, a whole service has a "toxic" anything is okay in your book. Great. Nice to know.

LTC Trent Klug, we live in a time when people no longer understand the concept of a "right time and place". I think, all should be honored as appropriate on Memorial Day and then on other days we can discuss other issues... but that just me.

The US has a "toxic femininity" problem. If females want to come and play on our playground be ready for a testosterone laden adventure. We are not a touchy feely let's talk about our problems group. We are rude, crass and uncaring. If you can hack it we welcome you.

"We are rude, crass and uncaring." If we call it direct and efficient, we are good people...and smart. When we describe it as Rude, crass and uncaring the whiners attack us.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint The intent was to immediately weed out all non-hackers. I went for direct impact instead of piling on a bunch of whip cream and cherries.

I hate this idea of PC, but it truly has no place in the military. How can you train people to be warriors if we have to worry about their tender feelings? I don't care if the are male, female, both, or neither the military is not a social experiment nor is it the place for the soft heart, kind heart yes, but not the soft heart...
