The Marine Corps has an eating disorder problem

“Marines are diagnosed with eating disorders at higher rates than other service members, and women Marines in particular are diagnosed more than others,” according to the report, which says that Marines are diagnosed “at nearly twice the rate of other services.” Female Marines are at increased risk and have the highest rate of diagnosis “across the services and all groups.”

Anorexia and/or bulimia can be ways of dealing with stress and feeling like you are in control and they are hard to treat once established.

The only eating disorder we had in he infantry was, we ate it so fast, we didn't even breath.
And, sometimes you didn't taste your food, it was swallowed, as you got on your feet and headed out.
