It appears there were several failures: Intelligence, Common Operating Picture, and Command and Control.

It has always botered me that elete troops will sometimes dispatage other Special Ops troops. "Sort of you aint shit compared to me." I never saw this benefit anyone or any group.
We do not need this mutually distructive behavior. The USAF CCT Sgt. assigned to SCPO Sublinski's element is prooven to have been alive at the time the element withdrew by overhead photo evidence. The CCT hero was able to kill several enemy fighters talk on the radio and despite several additional wounds he continued to fight and then attacked a 12.5 cal machine gun that would threaten a helo. The SEAL element took casualties and thought the CCT was dead. Everybody did their best, both men performed courageously. It is probable the SEAL leader thought the body of a fallen SEAL was the injured CCT. When you are face down on the ground taking fire from several directions youdont have tome to do a through examination of bodies around you. You have 2 live wounded to get out of danger.

SPC Jovani Daviu Of course they did. If you ask a seal, they are the ONLY special ops force that matters. All others are expendable (much as TSgt Chapman was that fateful night). I assure you TSgt Chapman would never have left one of them behind, as proven by his continued fight to provide cover fire for support helos that were trying to get help to the beleaguered team who were running away from him.
