Good for you Sailor guys. I hope this goes through.
The Navy wants the Defense Department to reauthorize a program that pays sailors extra when their deployments exceed 220 days, which became commonplace in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

I couldn't agree more Keith. I think it should apply for not only for tours in theater, but for any hardship deployment PCS (I.e. Embassy duty in a bad place, unaccompanied tours to Korea, etc.). Or waive the 220 day rule when original orders say 120 days and somehow you get stuck for twice or 3 times that.

Yeah Master Chief. We did a Persian Gulf pump in '93. Was supposed to be gone 7 months. Somalia happened and we got extended by a bit and got the pay.

CW3 Matt Hutchason - Sounds great if you don't mind family separation. Pro pay, sub pay, sea pay, where do I sign? They deserve everything they can get.
