You're going to have a field day, aren't you? I can foresee RP being littered with daily complaints because you'll never distinguish between Trump the man and Trump the brand. The simple fact is that Donald Trump's success is a marketing success. He recreated himself as a brand and sold it well. He sold it well enough to emerge from failures without tarnishing that brand and go on to other successes. That's damn fine marketing. But it will encourage those who don't understand this difference to judge the actions of his brand as the actions of the man. Yes, it's going to be interesting until you make it boring.

Trump is good with licensing his name. That I have to give him credit for. As far as operating a business...I'm talking about the daily operation...not so much. Properties bearing his name around the world are nothing more than franchises paying him a fee. Mr. Jackson just listed a bunch of business undertakings that he failed at miserably.

SSG, if you know anything about the government budget and execution process, you would know there is very little chance Trump could influence any decision on which contract to go with in building a new government facility. This process doesn't even cross his desk once a decision has been made to approve the facility (which was already made apparently).

Any actions on Trump's part would easily be identified by the source selection team and likely reported to the authorities. So unless you believe the President has ultra-Trump supporters in the FBI who will ignore the law by allowing Trump to influence them and not report it, this is a dead end story.

Wow!!! a contractor capable of bidding on a $2Billion dollar Federal Project and one of the Largest Commercial Property developers in the United States know each other and have done business together. That IS amazing.

Federal bids expected to exceed $5,000,000 go through a non-arbitrary scoring and selection process. Despite the fact that the Obama administration ignored that process overseas, There is so much capable competition and scrutiny in the US that the Trump administration could not by pass the contract awarding process if they wanted to.

SSG Jessica Bautista - A frequent observation you have of me. But when you make that observation, you don't help me connect the dots. Since I am a slow learner, please educate. What is "the point"?

SSG Jessica Bautista - My thoughts are the main point, but you pointed out that I "...missed the point". Now I am really confused.

I do not know what is truth and what is fiction in regards to the FBI email investigation. So the following is purely opinion without substantiation.

I have friends who serve in the FBI, but had no connection to the Secretary Clinton investigation. Those friends say that there was deep division within the FBI, including amongst those that were involved in the investigation, with Director Comey's initial report to congress. This essentially agrees with reports put out by the media. Those who favored and did not favor indictment were spread equally across the aisle, seemingly without party affiliation consideration.

Those same unconnected friends also allege that there was a clear message signaled of preferred outcome delivered WITHOUT expressed or implied threat by political appointees within the Department of Justice and the White House. There was also a fatalistic acceptance that despite the outcome of the investigation, Secretary Clinton would be elected. Future prospects within the FBI could and would be determined by an FBI employees ability to maintain the appearance of neutrality or of plausible deniability of a belief that Secretary Clinton should be indicted. As such, some paths that might but not necessarily would have born fruit were not pursued.

No one has communicated to me what Director Comey was thinking. I honestly believe that by the time of the reopening of the investigation, the voting public was selectively deaf and that issue no longer matter one way or the other. On this matter minds were made up already. At the same time Candidate Trump was so busy stepping on landmines of his own making that if he did make any gains, he was snuffing them out as quickly as he could.

As I said purely opinion.
