Troop Commander had left the COP to go to the OP overwatching the COP. The aircraft he was on was hit and had to RTB, he eventually fought his was back there with the QRF. Probably omitted in the movie. https://mwi.usma.edu/podcast-spear-battle-cop-keating/

SSG (Join to see) - also just listened to a podcast with Bunderman, Porter (Troop Commander), and Miraldi (QRF PL), the previous commander was killed in the two weeks leading up to this. Ambushed returning from a shura. His RTO awarded the MoH for that action. I think they may have blurred these two men in the retelling.

LTC Jason Mackay - They did include that the previous commander died. The QRF just kind of shows up on the mountain top at the end. You don't happen to have a link of the podcast do you? It would be nice if they were on Joe Rogan or Jocko's podcast.

SSG (Join to see) - Brad Pitt did a hell of a job as a tank commander. I called my Tank Commanders Tank Gods because they were aggressive and tactically sound. The tank is home. The depiction of Shermans against Panthers was correct. Our Shermans were woefully under gunned and armored.
