Interesting article on the ongoing effort to colorize old black and white photographs. The first one of the banana docks in NY is presented in vivid color and the one of Abraham Lincoln brings a feeling of life, so to speak, instead of a flat black and white photo.

some photos benefit from colorization.... but I love the original black and whites. They beautifully preserve the past.
