One case of deregulation gone astray. Some will get $5000 residential bills. ERCOT says it's all supply and demand. The list of Directors that have resigned is growing. They have offered extended payment plans to consumers.

Don’t forget that when the Texas Power Board asked for a waiver From the Department of Energy to run power plants at full power which would emit more pollution than EPA standards allowed. The Department of Energy OK’d running at Max capacity BUT TEXAS HAD TO PAY $1,500/mega watt hour. No this wasn’t unregulated. https://www.energy.gov/sites/prod/files/2021/02/f82/DOE%20202%28c%29%20Emergency%20Order%20-%20ERCOT%2002.14.2021.pdf
