Be warned... right now if the VA piss tests you and you pop, you lose any other meds you're taking and possibly your health benefits.

I live in a medical MJ state, and take no prescription medications, so the VA doesn't test me. However, I do work for a government contractor (for the VA in fact!) so I do still have to abide by federal regulations just like I did on active duty.

Otherwise, I may very well get a medical card and see if it helps me at all.

Also, my doctor "may or may not have" suggested that I get a card.

SSG Warren Swan is completely right. All the meds that helps with your anxiety, pain, insomnia, etc that are scheduled are taken off you and you are considered a Cannabis Abuser and they put it right on your records. I only use VA for my OSA supplies and see my docs outside. Once you are labeled by VA you are screwed.

SSG Warren Swan I have read some on the benefits, I still wonder why the government is so opposed to MJ, the only possible excuse/explanation I can come up with is it had medicinal values that big pharma doesn't want the population to know about or benefit from.

When I finally retire and am not subject to routine urinalysis I may look into a prescription. Between now and then Jack Daniels and I will continue our long term relationship.
