Concerts are becoming entertainment for the well-to-do. High ticket prices and exorbitant ticket fees make it difficult to afford attending concerts. No doubt the product is good. Buddy and I saw AC/DC in 2016. Tickets were $150 apiece for floor tickets. (My buddy bought them and I reimbursed him.) Behind us a family of four. Expensive night out for them.
In 1984 I saw AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourn, Motely Cure and a few other bands Karlsruhe, (West) Germany, for about $25. Those days are definitely gone.
Now I prefer going to smaller venues and seeing up and coming bands when I can. However, it can be tough to get tickets even for those venues.
