Russians, Americans, Everybody looks back to a Romantic Notion of times past that isn't really real. I Understand the Desire but I know that it really never existed.

My favorite joke Soviets use to tell was it took 10 years to get a new car. When ordering a new car a man inquired was it going to be delivered in the morning or afternoon. Man inquired why? I get my get refrigerator on the same day. Black market and shortages ruled the day
