What I don't understand is why some people who are looking at wearing masks as an invasion of their "Freedumbs" will act out publicly and risk their actual physical freedom being taken away by committing a violent act, such as invading someone's personal space and assaulting them by snatching their mask off, and risking jail. How does the ends they use justify the means? I just don't understand the logic of some of our fellow citizens.

We cannot rationalize with the irrational. They engage what we refer to as primary process thinking. The former engages in executive and moral reasoning.

This is just another clinical indicator of the US Second Civil War and indeed can be a life/death consequence.

This is polarizing...My wife is a teacher and faces this everyday. When they started school it was optional for students, mandatory for teachers. The reason for the mandatory for teachers was that they need them in school and if a student got sick and had to go home the teacher could still teach from the classroom live stream. However, what they have found out is that these kids show up and after they have been there a couple of hours tell the teacher that their mom/dad is sick and they think they have COVID...well hell, go to the nurses office and go home. With parents like that sending their kids to school because they don't want to deal with them because they are sick well that is your dang job...keep them at home if your are sick because now they have been exposed and are exposing other students/teachers in the classroom on the bus and in the hallway...school is not a babysitting service...it is a mask, not a straight jacket...get on board. The violence that is associated with this is ludacris...if you don't want to abide by the rules then take your kid home and home school.
