Given the disparity in number of cases, I will wait until the numbers are larger for COVID-19 to assess it. Had we practiced early what we are now, flu cases would be lower as well.

Looking at this from a "total death" perspective is not a good way to judge this current infection.

SSG Robert Webster
SSG Carlos Madden Did you read the article or are you making your statement from the headline?
Interestingly, the article states the following: "The controversial Ethiopian politician and Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, claimed in a press conference in early March that the fatality rate for the coronavirus was many multiples that of the fatality rate of the common flu."
Isn't that what Dr. Ghebrevesus did?

SSG Carlos Madden - And the comment heading the link could be construed as a bit of advice. Especially since most of the main stream media people, pundits, and talking heads appear to be trying to sow panic instead of informing the public.
The problem from that apparent perspective does not instill a sense of calm, but a sense of panic.
But then again, I was responding to your statement as it appears and not as you necessarily intended. Especially since your statement appears to address the headline as opposed to the accompanying comment. Thank you.
