The trees that survived the bombing of Hiroshima

I am glad we used those bombs. It showed the destructive power that we hope we will never see again.

On a tangent. There is a large and eerie forest near Mount Fuji where dozens of people go each year to commit suicide. Locals believe the trees are haunted and say they can easily spot the three types of visitors to the forest: trekkers interested in scenic vistas of Mount Fuji, the curious hoping for a glimpse of the macabre, and those souls who don’t plan on leaving.
