actually its not a bad thing... they have a better Grasp of reality than so many of the Career Criminal Politicians that are getting the jobs...

It is if they are not very good Generals. And there is always the concern for group think towards a more military solution vice some of the other levers of governmental power. But overall if you grab a few "all-star" retired Generals and Admirals who overall did a great job and were dependable to think first of the people and last about politics then you are headed in the right direction. Moderates are the best choice.

Absolutely do not pick any General that was ever fired or has been on CNN, FOX, MSNBC etc as a commentator or pundit or any kind.

Interesting points. Among the things the general public either doesn't know or discounts is that senior military leaders function in hand with DoS and are very adept at interacting with other nations. People think "military leader" and immediately think "war dog" or "hawk".

I agree - I was just talking about how out of touch most civilians are with the military.
