The West's obsession with itself

SFC Weber, we do have some skeletons in our past, however, we are light years ahead of the majority of the planet. Yea we are full of ourselves and we have lots of the ugly Americans but without a doubt this is the best place on earth.

I am surprised Aljazeera would write a story like this about the U.S. I am sure they think we are too full of ourselves. That is why they are sympathetic to people trying to kill westerners in general and Americans in particular.

More pap from the left trying to question America saying we exploited minorities to achieve all that we have. It is the politics of division. Nowhere in the world, still, is there more opportunity for anyone of any background to make it big than here.

Many of these writers ignore their own ancestral countries rich histories of oppression, slavery, murder, war, famine, abuse etc. We have been around 240 years, some of those that question us have been around for a thousand and more. We have done more in 240 for the freedom and liberty of men that all the rest of them put together. Aljazeera isn't interested in the truth, they are interested in pushing any narrative that is anti-American. Thanks for taking the bait, hook, line and sinker.

I lived in Saudi Arabia and served as a Military Advisor to the Saudi Arabian Army. This article is full of self serving platitudes and ignores the basic truths that Islamic societies are oppressive and deny basic freedoms to many of their populace.
