It’s strange to say, but President Trump is the first Influencer-in-Chief. There is no question in my mind that President Trump is unrivaled in his ability to brand himself. He understood branding before it was even a term

It is hard to tell when he is doing it intentionally and when he isn't , but Trump definitely knows how to take over a news cycle.
