Not lie our generation where We grew up on Firearms and even owned our own rifles and shotguns as kids. Entering the Military carried that on but then i also attended a Military Academy where We also shot fr qualification and learned how to use Military small arms such as the 30 caliber M1 Garand, 45 ACP pistol, and even the BAR. plus thing like mortars and howitzers. I've fired expert with every handgun or riffle I've ever fired. I know this is Duffelblog humor but much of what We did and took for granted many now have no idea !

I'm with you 100 percent on this. Qualified as Expert with several weapons, it was nice to be food friends with one of the guys running the range at Ft Bragg when I was at Pope AFB. As a kid and especially as an adult I see weapons as a way to put food on the table. My wife is qualifies as expert in cooking fish and game. We butcher anything we kill, I don't trust how processors handle natures bounty so its all "Au Natural."

Agree, grew up hunting and had firearms safety and utilization drummed into my head at an early age.
