Torture of our enemies needs to be every bit legal and every time we catch a bad guy and release, pay him large sums to tell the world we tortured the hell out of him. I do not actually believe torture gives valuable information, it only provides information to get the torturing to stop. We never have to torture one person however if our enemies believe we do that fear alone will get us something. Bring in a board, some water, and a rag or maybe a battery and some jumper cables, again never doing it but get them to believe they are about to experience great discomfort.

Good.
The way the article is written, she's not campaigning to pull Britain out so that they can go about torturing people right and left. The goal is to get it codified into British law, to be enforced and adjudicated through the British legal system.
In my opinion, that's the way it should be. Each nation is sovereign...other nations have no authority over the laws concerning outside national entities. The correct place for laws such as these are within the nations themselves, so that people of the nation can be held legally accountable for their actions by the sovereign nation.
