As I young Capt. I inquired about what to expect during deployment, I was advised it's a horrible, life altering and depriving. Why?

LTC Tom Jones, Twice, in Nam, we would go to Pleiku Air Force base for something we really didn't need, just to be in some A/C and eat anything but those C-Rats. After a nice lunch and cooled off we would go back to the war.

Our gettaway place from the border was the Army's Camp Roberts vic the coastal city of Nha Trang. The food was good but I don't think it had A/C. Glad you had an occasional treat, Keith.

Where's the women reservists in there? Used to be a lot of women on aircrews.
