MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D.
And for me! Having a doctorate in history has made me painfully aware of just how little of it I really know. . . .

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - At least you are aware!
He Who Knows, and Knows Not He Knows, Is Asleep; Awaken Him.
I get my daily dose of science from Maj William W. 'Bill' Price and my daily dose of history from you!

Years ago I heard from a coworker that Valley Forge wasn't anywhere near as bad as basic history books tended to make it out to be.
Having read Private Yankees Doodle by Joseph P. Martin recently that seems to be true. Martin was at Valley Forge, Connecticut's Valley Forge (1778-79 in what is Putnam Park in Redding. Nice place to go visit, I might add), and now Jockey Hollow. Between the three Valley Forge itself seems to be the most tame. The winter in Redding, CT following he referred to as the winter that "tried men's souls."
