This reminds me of the photo of Bush looking through binos with the caps on. A frozen moment that completely misrepresented reality. Nothing to see here. She was waving.

LT Louis McKellar - I never said that. Ultimately, I find it unhelpful to talk as if one side does it more than the other. It creates a sense of victimization that is unwarranted which breeds resentment and makes conversation impossible.

People who feel strongly about something tend to be assholes to people who disagree with them. The more righteous one feels in their opinions, the more hostile they are to disagreement. Amusingly, your own examples illustrate my point as you took what you perceive to be the Liberal stances, cast them in the worst light possible and then accused them of "shouting down other people and misrepresenting their views."

The Left is guilty of shutting down conversations. I would even concede that young college liberals have been given too much leeway in shutting down things they don't like on college campuses. My experience with conservatives hasn't been much better though. Too many people convinced that everyone they don't agree with is out to "ruin America."

Don't know where you live, I'm in Wisconsin and we've been in turmoil since 2010 and the election of Scott Walker. We've lived with the liberals and their shrill comments for five years. When they lost the recall election, they got worse.

I don't believe the people who disagree with me are out to ruin America. I'm not in favor of abortions, but recognize they're going to happen. I do believe there should be limits - since it's said that at 23 weeks, babies feel pain. Having said that, I'm grateful none of my daughters aborted any of my grandchildren.

LT Louis McKellar - I totally understand. I'm one of those people who come off as raging liberal in conservative circles and a neo-con in liberal ones. It's fun!

I live in Arizona. It's nasty all around. Or if you just want to see it in action, you could just go onto any military Facebook page and type "I support Hillary Clinton" and see what happens. A Vietnam vet friend of mine was kicked out of his unit facebook group because he dared to have a pro-Obama profile pic (I saw the message informing him of his removal and the reasoning)...There's lots of hate to go around.

I have never liked Hillary Clinton. There's just something about her.

I got kicked off the Rage Against the Media page.
