This is My Rifle is a phrase I remember well - the phrase was used in infantry weapons familiarization.
The song came out in 1999 but it refers back to 1969 This may offend some; but so does killing which is the business of warfare :-)

Especially poignant for me. I graduated from High School in 1969. Some of us went to College, some went to Nam. Some came home from College, some left town. Some came back from Nam and some never left. One of them was my friend from High School. He was a medic in the 101st and has suffered from PTSD for years. I see him when I go home. He is getting help through the VA.
