It could be done with a peer review at the Academy...it didn't take long for us to figure out who the knuckleheads were...

So it doesn’t stop you from making SGM just from possibly taking a BN or BDE! That’s not an issue for my MOS our first assignment as a SGM is the School House SGM slot anyways and most retire afterwards because they have already hit their time requirements for top 3! So, I personally wouldn’t care anyways! Just making SGM in my small MOS is a great achievement! We have only 3 slots now total when I first came in the Army we had 1! Hell we can’t fill the 3 now because of slow promotions by HRC and the time they take to do so! About 90% of my MOS retires between SFC-MSG!

This is a good idea. I have met many senior NCOs that had very poor writing or communications skills.
