It should be a Federal crime with some time in Federal Prisons. These people don't have mental issues. They're just stupid. That's why they get caught.

To make a false report of this nature is an egregious crime as many have pointed out placing emergency responders, Coasties, and other at risk while detracting from real emergencies and duties. I hate to see this sort of thing. I hope they throw the book at him, and take all his money and assets
