Hey...do your job. Why does everything have to be tied to something else. Just vote on one thing at a time. Note to us- remember the inaction next time we vote. One huge purge would send a message. This is not a party question, but is it a reflection of our current society possibly? Thoughts?

It's all gamesmanship, particularly with the presidential election so close. Dems want to have a shutdown for a campaign issue and the Republicans have no counter, as usual. But, as we know the budget just sneaks up on you. Over and over. Guess what happens in private industry? You work night and day to meet your deadline, if you miss it, you could be seeking a new job, or at a minimum, a demotion.

SPC James Harsh - Only the Republicans? Paul Ryan has been taken to task by most of us. His leadership is secure, if the Dems can't win the House, second best is Ryan.

It's all fun and games until it directly affects them. Folks remember the last time this happened, so memories are long, and the pettiness that some in congress showed won't be forgotten. We need a big purge of the olg guard from both parties, and elect people who represent the people, not the 1% who finance their elections and ask for back door favors. You could put a five year old in those offices and get more work done than they do.
