Spent 10 days there on a port visit by the USS Blue Ridge in 1973. I volunteered for the permanent shore patrol under the US Naval Attache --- wise decision. We were put up in a hilltop hotel and drew per diem pay --- worked 12 on 12 off. The rest of the ship's complement had a midnight curfew the whole time.
