A lot disappointed but that's par for the course in California.

All right, someone has to play devil's advocate. Was the contract for these bonuses clear and define the conditions for the bonus? given the assumption that these folks were intelligent and read them, why are they surprised?

Some of these military "heroes" were injured grievously, some not so much. In any event, those that were let go due to injuries of any kind in combat should be excluded from the return of the bonuses. Further, they will be provided benefits for life from the VA due to their injuries. If the bank accidentally puts too much money in your account and you spend it knowing that is was not yours, guess what, you pay it back. It's uncertain how many should have exclusions from this requirement, but knowing how the government works, they will demand it from everyone and let the recipients, fight for their right to the bonus.

MCPO Roger Collins, After ten years, wouldn't you be surprised? They were probably promised the moon if they re-enlisted, and were lied to. I can't put it on the vets. They went to war for a promise of big money if they re-enlisted. I think this is total bullshit. It's putting families in a debt repayment that nobody, who signed on, would have thought could have happened. This crap makes me sick. I'm tired of our military being shafted in one way or another. You can be the devils advocate all you want Roger, but if it were you you'd be upset like all of these soldiers families are.
