Earlier this morning I watched as a NYC HS walked out around 10am, I saw hundreds of students just walking away and looking like they were going home, I then saw roughly 30 students and that's on the high side with home made signs shouting barely above a loud voice, "STOP THE VIOLENCE" over and over while playing grab ass on the sidewalk .Considering the actual number of students taking the day off from school compared to the ones who actually believe they are doing something it was a joke. The you are so easily brainwashed into doing the bidding of the adults.

1SG Dennis Hicks I am sure that there are some of these kids who are walking out because they do genuinely want to keep attention focused on the issue of school shootings. I also firmly believe that they are going to be a very small percentage of the students who walk out. I truly believe that the overwhelming majority of the kids who walk out are doing so because it beats sitting in class at the end of the school year.

From what I can see its the Majority going home for there 3 day weekend and a dribble that either want change or are followers. Considering the Gun laws in NYC what exactly will stop the violence? Maybe the criminal element will just turn in their weapons and love thy neighbor, nah the liberal loons like DEBLASSHOLE an CUOMO INC will continue to get voted in and continue to keep NYS/NYC the shithole its has become, good thing I don't live there.

1SG Dennis Hicks - Unfortunately, my daughter goes to college in Vermont so I have to drive through the soviet socialist state of new york on my way to pick her up and pack her dorm. Also means I have to put my firearm into a hard sided case, with the ammo in a separate hard sided case so I don't break the law when I drive through there. Anything happens, I will gladly sue the state for their inability to provide security when they have restricted my ability to protect myself.

This is utterly ridiculous. What exactly are they protesting? That something needs to be done to stop school shootings? Yes, thank you kids, we're all very aware of that. Do you happen to have any ideas that might help us adults out? Can you provide some of those ideas on how your own school could be better protected? Or are you content to just walk out of school (which is always fun), hold up your signs, and be labeled an "activist"? Thanks, you're really helping.

Thousands? They've lowered their expectations, haven't they. Also, I can only repeat what I just posted in another related discussion thread: If they really go outside and protest, I'll be amazed. It seems that outdoor activities are not a priority on their agendas. At least now they'll be getting some fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. And, as for missing school, not much education has been going on there in recent times. Mostly indoctrination...
