Sir,
I am a Cadet from UC Berkeley. I could testify that 90% of the protestors at Berkeley are not our students. In fact, most students welcome any speech on campus. But there are lots of mobs or anarchists from the Oakland always come to our school and make troubles.

Thank you for clarifying. Can't the campus police stop them from coming in or isn't there a student ID card to vet them? I want to Cal State Fullerton back in the eighties and we never saw this kind of crap and this was during the Reagan Era. Thank you for clarifying and sorry for me slamming the millennials.

No problem. Sir.
Unfortunately, the political climate is very different at the Bay Area, and the campus police could not stop anyone meeting on the campus because it is a public space. However, four days ago the campus police successfully prevented another mob protest with help from Berkeley PD, Oakland PD, and the highway patrol. I saw more cops than students on that day. The school is showing its commitment to protect the free speech environment.

Many of you have read me here on RP blaming President Obama for lots of things but not for this one but he sure didn't help things any with "tactical patience". If anything maybe not so much blaming President Eisenhower but blaming Jimmy Carter because he was thinking of pulling troops out in 1976- 77 if it wasn't for American forces in Korea chief of staff Major General Singlaub who as a tough OSS officer from World War II was not afraid to give up his career and who went to the press over this nearsighted plan by President Jimmy Carter who immediately fired him. We actually have to thank him for this! Also, President Clinton made a deal with Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-il live to us. 23 years later now North Korea is out of control.
